Dunster Beach in Somerset is a 450 Acre private estate on which are sited 230 beach chalets which were built circa 1930’s and not much has changed since!  

The estate is a strip of land bordered on the one side by our private lakes and woodland and on the other by 1 1/2 miles of private beach and seashore. We have our own well-stocked shop a tennis court and not much else!! No amusement arcade, fairground or nightclub but these can be found in Minehead a few miles away.

It is a truly ‘bucket and spade’ holiday for families and being on the edge of Exmoor provides superb walking and sightseeing opportunities for all, and cream teas to die for!

Or why not take a trip on a steam train, Dunster station on the West West Somerset Railway is only a few minutes walk away.

Our chalets have been refurbished to a high standard, insulated and double-glazed with heating allowing an extended season from March through to November. Inside each chalet there is a fitted kitchen with full size fridge, cooker and microwave, all crockery, cutlery, utensils and hot & cold water.

 The lounge has a three-seater sofa bed and easy chair, dining table and chairs, TV and heater. The lounge also has French doors with a sea view.

Access to the shower room is off the lounge, the shower room is fully tiled and fitted with an electric shower, basin and WC.

The lounge French doors lead onto the rear patio with a white picket fence around, patio furniture and a box store containing deck chairs. A gate at the rear of the patio leads directly onto the grassed area with the beach only a stone’s throw away.

Bedrooms differ from chalet to chalet, chalets either have double, twin or bunk beds, including the double sofa bed in the lounge each chalet sleeps four, with up to five occupants if a single airbed is used.
